The Story
The subject of this piece, Double peach Hibiscus, was chanced upon during an intuitive photography around the neighborhood where among other references this one flashed at me and I found myself captivated by its ruffled yet soft petals. Originally created with a plain blue background it evolved into a piece that altho painted loosely, exudes feminine grace. The piece was digitally painted without linework, side by side with the reference photos as shown in the speedpaint video below and is a form of freehand or observational painting.
