About “Our Hands”

Our hand is for touching and holding. But it can also be used to touch a heart: just hold someone and be comforting. Our hands can express love and they should. And by the warm act of compassion, we can grow hope and positivity in each other. It changes moods and even heals certain wounds; a gesture that lets someone know you’re not alone, we’re in this together. From time to time we’re called to use our “hands” in these ways. They hold a sacred power that gets recharged each time we pray.

Coincidentally there was a song by Jewel called “Hands” and its meaning is a bit similar to this art’s message. I really encourage you to watch that song’s lyric video while looking at this artwork. This art is a reminder of who you are. That you are capable of doing many great things with the use of your hands but the highest work those hands can do is to lend itself for others to hold on to.

Surrounding yourself with art that reflects back to you who you are on the inside is a great way to reinforce your self identity and not allow external factors to take you away from the clear knowing of your own truth. Many people, these days, are easily swayed to change how they look at themselves. I hope they could’ve read this or has spoken to someone who can show them the beauty of their existence, because some of them, sadly, has surrendered to the darkness… in one way or another. This art, if you have it, or has gifted it, stamps the innate kind heart you have or your loved one has. The World needs hearts filled with positivity and warmth especially when we sprinkle it everywhere we go.

The art is of two hands, one being nurtured and the other, the nurturer. It symbolizes empathy and genuine care. When you let someone hold your hand, it means you are also open to listen to what they want to pour out. It also means you are open to share your wisdom to give another a fresh new perspective. Although hands holding another is symbolic to “being there”. We know that it means so much more because when you nurture. something, it grows… Just “being there” has truly been underrated. Sometimes, being there for them can be everything they need.
